So I tried to start a healthy discussion and made an ice breaker. I ask this question to them " How many times have you tried to make our own business and hit our goal?
Everyone stop on talking and commenting negatively. Everyone started to think and one of them has talked about his frustrations in MLM business that he'd been to few years back. He started to enumerate how bad is networking, he told me about the frustrations he had with network marketing.
He said that he is tired of trying to make money, talking to friends, signing them up to the business, that he does not know when the business will fold up or be closed by authorities and lose his credibility again. He was talking about his experiences in the past where he failed in several companies and felt bad with his members who lost some money in the ventures and eventually un-friend him and trying to avoid him as if he has a very communicable disease.
It becomes a good topic and the other two also share the same fate. Now everyone in the room except for one sees that Multilevel marketing or internet-working is doomed. Every successful network marketer I know had been through similar frustrations in this industry. There is a learning curve that we have to go through. Success in network marketing does not happen overnight.
Several factors are responsible for not getting success in network marketing.
- Selection of the company is important. Some say that 50% of start-up companies fail before two years and about 80% of the rest fail before 5 years. However there are companies that have passed the test of time, surviving after five years. That's why the popular advice is to select a company that has survived at least two to five years.
- Experience and integrity of the owner, the quality of the product, compensation plan, tools for marketing, up-line support, team or group mastermind meetings, training for the team are also very important in the selection of the company.
But in this life there is no such a thing as a sure thing, except death and taxes. The rest you have to take a chance. You have to take calculated risks. Failure happens in any undertaking. But it is not how many times you failed but it is the wisdom that you learned from those experiences and the massive action that you take to pursue your dreams that create MLM success.
That's why wise men say, "It is better to have failed than not never to have tried at all".
I share this to you to instill in your mind this MLM Tips to Success # 7:
